The Green Bay Packers throughout the 2000s so far have not had the same levels of success as they did throughout the 1900s. The Packers so far have only a single superbowl in the 2000s and that was in 2011 with star QB Aaron Rodgers. In recent years the Packers have been a team with mixed levels of sucess. The 2025 season just began and following the addiiton of defensive end Micah Parsons. the packers are once again looking like a powerhouse in the NFL starting the season 2-0 with a 27-13 win over their division rival the Detroit Lions in week 1, and a 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders in week 2. Since 2022, the Detroit Lions have taken the Packers spot as top team in the NFC North division as the Green Bay Packers had taken a step back in the 2022 season finishing 8-9, ending the season with a loss to the Detroit Lions, resulting in the departure of star QB Aaron Rodgers. The 2023 season was a bit brigter for the Packers as they finished the season 9-8 and lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs 24-21 to the San Francisco 49ers, after defeating the Dallas Cowboys 48-32 in the wild card round. The Packers continued to improve in the 2024 season as well, finishing 11-6, but unfortunately falling to the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles in the wild card round of the playoffs.
The Packers fall to the St. Louis Rams in the divisional round of the 2002 playoffs, followed up with a home playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons in 2003, another divisional round exit in 2004 at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, and finally a wild card round loss to the Minnesota Vikings in 2005.
Aaron Rodgers makes his debut as starting QB. The Packers fall to the Giants in the playoffs before reaching the Superbowl.
The Green Bay Packers defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Superbowl 31-25 marking their 13th NFL Championship. This is the last championship the Packers have won as of this moment.

Matt LaFleur is named head coach in 2019. The packers suffer 3 NFC championship losses in a row: 2 at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers and the 3rd at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are then defeated in the 2022 divisional round once again by the 49ers.
Aaron Rodgers leaves the Packers after a defeat to the Detroit Lions causes the Packers to miss the 2023 playoffs. The Packers fall in the 2024 divisional round of the playoffs to the 49ers after defeating the Cowboys in the wild card round behind new QB Jordan Love. In 2025 the Packers fall to the Eagles in the wild card round.
The term cheesehead originates from opposing fans mocking the fans of Wisconsin sports teams,due to Wisconsin's large cheese industry. The cheesehead hats were made to turn the insult into a badge of honor. The cheeseheads are the official fanbase of the Green Bay packers.
